Graduate Certificate program applications are considered on a rolling basis - but it is recommended that applicants complete their application and submit all materials to NJIT at least 3 weeks prior to the start of the semester in which they hope to begin the program.

NJIT’s Online Graduate Certificate programs do not require submission of GRE or GMAT scores for application.
Standardized test requirements vary by program for the online master’s degree programs. For example, the GMAT is required for all applicants to graduate programs within the School of Management.
All master's applicants seeking Spring 2021 admission will have the GRE/GMAT requirement waived. If submitted, GRE/GMAT scores will be taken into consideration. We encourage those students who have taken the test to submit scores.

Please allow at least 10 to 15 business days for your materials to arrive. Your application will be reviewed as soon as all required documents arrive. You will receive written notification from the Office of Graduate Admissions informing you of any missing documentation.

A maximum of 9 credits of graduate work, taken within seven years, from accredited U.S. educational institutions may be transferred and applied to degree requirements at NJIT if the courses were taken for full academic credit, were never applied to any other degree, and a final grade of at least B was attained.
The student’s graduate advisor and the Office of Graduate Studies must agree that the course(s) directly relate to the student’s program of study. Credit transfer requests must be submitted via a form available from the Office of Graduate Studies along with course descriptions from the educational institution and an official transcript mailed directly from the educational institution.

Credits from educational institutions outside the United States (except Canada) cannot be transferred.
No, the Office of Admissions at NJIT has the ability to acquire alumni transcripts.
Yes, you must apply and be admitted into a master’s degree program.
Yes, at this time, NJIT students who miss one semester become inactive in the following semester. Therefore, you would need to reapply for admission (select ‘readmit’ in the options).
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is required for all international applicants not holding a degree from a United States post-secondary institution.
The minimum score required is 79 for the Internet-based TOEFL exam, 213 for the computer-based TOEFL exam, or 550 for the paper-based TOEFL exam. A minimum score of 6.5 with no sub-score lower than 6.0 is required for the IELTS exam.
