Quality: an overview

NJIT is an established pioneer in online learning and the creator of the concept of Virtual Classroom^®. The university, moreover, has won accolades from an array of national publications and groups.  In a ranking by U.S. News and World Report, NJIT placed sixth in the nation in online learning enrollments for graduate computing and engineering programs.

And a distinguished NJIT professor was named the best online instructor in the country by the Alfred F. Sloan Foundation.

US News & World Report’s 2009 Annual Guide to America’s Best Colleges named NJIT a top-tier research university.  And this year the Princeton Review called NJIT one of the nation’s Best Value Colleges. NJIT was also named a Top American Research University by The Center for Measuring University Performance, and received an Excellence in Technology Education Award from the New Jersey Technology Council.
