Step 3: Apply for Admissions
For Master’s Degrees
The online programs follow the same procedures and deadlines as on-campus programs. You can apply online by visiting http://adultlearner.njit.edu/admissions/ . If you missed the deadline and you are set on earning a master’s degree, you can still start as a non-matriculated or non-degree student. Once you are accepted for degree candidacy, the credits you earn in this category, simply get carried over to your degree work. For the non-matriculated admissions form, visit http://adultlearner.njit.edu/admissions/
For Graduate Certificates
Applications for graduate certificates are accepted year-round. Completed applications must be received no later than 7 days prior to the start of a semester. Graduate certificate candidacy is straightforward and rapid and largely based on documentation of students having earned satisfactory undergraduate grade-point averages. Students who have a master’s or higher degree already and simply want to learn the new knowledge in these credentials can be accepted even faster. Some students choose to earn 2 credentials—the certificate and the master’s basically for the price of one. However, if you want both credentials, you need to start with the certificate and then proceed to the master’s. To apply, visit: http://adultlearner.njit.edu/admissions/.
