One of the great virtues of online study is that it liberates your geographic confines of the classroom. You can do your class work whenever and wherever you like, and communicate to your fellow students and professors continually. One online NJIT student, a masters’ student, lives in Indonesia, while another online NJIT master’s student works in Grenada. If not for the geographic freedom that online study allows for, these two students would not be studying at NJIT. The flexibility of online study even extends to how examinations (where they exist in particular courses) are administered. Most online learners work with approved proctors who give exams near to where the students live or work.

NJIT Online offers you the flexibility to take classes when and where you need to. Our classes are taught via our NJIT Online web-based teaching platforms, so you can log on from the comfort of your home in the evening, from your laptop at your local cafe, or from your office computer during your lunch hour.
Many of our course lectures are also available as video or audio podcasts, convenient for downloading to your iPod or other portable player a taking with you on your commute or travels.

NJIT Online classes are taught during our fall, spring, and three different summer semesters. You don't have to wait until the fall to being; you can jump in and get started on your master degree or certificate program during any of our semesters.
